Every Child Deserves a Birthday to Remember
We help make birthdays extra special for children in foster care by providing gifts, treats, and celebrations filled with love and joy.
"If you have faith as small as a mustard seed... nothing will be impossible for you."
Our
Mission
A birthday may only last one day, but for a child in foster care, it can become a lifelong reminder that someone cared.
Only a Mustard Seed provides birthday cakes, celebration supplies, and gifts to children in foster care throughout Alabama. We believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
Three Ways You Can Help
There are many ways to help make a child's birthday feel special. Choose the one that's right for you.

I'm only a tiny mustard seed.
Most people would probably walk right past me without ever noticing. But Jesus once used a mustard seed just like me to teach one of the greatest lessons about faith. That's because God has a wonderful way of using the smallest things to do something extraordinary.
Just as a tiny seed grows into something much greater than anyone could imagine, we believe even the smallest act of kindness can change a child's life. A birthday cake. A gift. A handwritten card. A volunteer willing to help. A simple donation. They may seem small, but in God's hands, small beginnings can become lasting memories.
Today, our mission is to make sure children in foster care know they are seen, valued, and celebrated on their birthday. Every birthday celebration we provide is a reminder that they are loved, they matter, and they are never forgotten.
